Mario Borg, Renshi, Shihan has been practicing martial arts for over 40 years.
He commenced his training in 1976 with Merv Oakley (pictured training with Master Yamaguchi). Oakley brought Karate to Sydney in the 1960's and Mario spent 26 years training with him. This is where Mario learnt the art and developed his passion for Karate. Mario had a desire to become the chief of his own Dojo and continued his training linked directly with Fujiwara Hanshi in Japan.
Mario is currently ranked 6th Dan Seiwakai and 6th Dan JKF GojuKai. He is committed to the complete and accurate teaching of Goju Ryu Karate Do and regularly trains in Japan.
We are part art of Shuseikan and Seiwakai international which contribute to the broader JKF GoJu Kai community. Mario Renshi Shihan has many fine students who have remained with him and continue to train and develop their skills.
Karate is for everyone.
